The B.C. Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS is dedicated to improving the health of British Columbians with HIV through the development, ongoing monitoring and dissemination of comprehensive research and treatment programs for HIV and related diseases. The Centre is a key provincial resource, serving all health authorities, regions and citizens of B.C. The Centre places the disease under the microscope, provides care and treatment to those infected, educates doctors and healthcare professionals throughout the province, and promotes evidence-based social policy that helps protect people from acquiring the virus.
- IMG's - BC Physician Integration Program
The purpose of the BC Physician Integration Program is to provide International Medical Graduates (IMGs) on the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC's (the College) Provisional Register, with a comprehensive orientation and introduction to the British Columbia medical system.
This web site acts as a centralized information portal, enabling program participants to access information on the various components of the program as well as other important provincial and national resources for IMGs.
Participation in this program is limited to IMGs placed on the College's Provisional Register.

Sepsis is a condition resulting from the body’s response to severe infection, and is a growing health concern in Canada. According to the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI), more than 30,000 patients are hospitalized in Canada each year, because of sepsis, and 30% of these die from related complications.

Advance Care Planning is the process of a capable adult talking over their beliefs, values, and wishes, about the health care they wish to consent to or refuse, with their health care provider and/or family, in advance of a situation when they are incapable of making health decisions.
