This Changed My Practice

This Changed My Practice, is a free online educational initiative from UBC Continuing Professional Development.  This site is a made-in-BC resource with a vision to deliver quick summaries of impactful clinical studies, clinical pearls and even practice tips relevant to BC physicians (including new billing codes, drug approvals, etc). Our website is now accredited by the College of Family Physicians of Canada for 0.25 Mainpro M1 study credits for all past and future postings. Physicians can easily obtain free study credits online by readins a posting and filling out an exercise. The exercise link for study credits is at the end of each posting on the website. Trauma Notes

Trauma Notes is a multi-disciplinary newsletter published three times a year by the Northern Trauma Program.  Content focuses specifically on the pre-hospital and acute care of patients with major traumatic injuries.   Articles feature everything from the nature of injury to the most recent clinical studies….from the effects of new drug therapies to northern health trauma statistics and the latest injury prevention initiatives.  Our mission is to provide readers with practical, hands-on clinical information that is directly relevant to improving outcomes for severely injured patients.

Clinical Practice Guidelines and Protocols in British Columbia

These guidelines are intended to provide evidence-based information to support the provision of patient care in BC. GPAC has developed approximately 50 clinical practice guidelines for a range of topics.  This includes chronic diseases such as diabetes, COPD, and asthma through stroke, otitis media and protocols for specific laboratory tests.
